DTSystems, Inc. announces that the majority

Department of Transportation contracts are using the
Data Track System
Tampa, FL – January 10, 2006 – DTSystems,
Inc. is proud to announce that the majority of heavy
highway contractors being awarded large Florida Department
of Transportation contracts are using the Data Track
System.
The Data Track System links accounting software, truck-mounted
chips, portable laser barcode scanners, and bar-coded
tickets to automate the process of tracking and the
accounting for loads of fill during excavation and
construction.
Most recently the Data Track System is being used
by Flatiron-Tidewater Skanska in Tampa, FL. Flatiron-Tidewater
Skanska has begun construction on a $202 million project
to improve State Road 60 interchanges near Tampa International
Airport.
Gilbert Southern Corporation of Tampa also has been
using the Data Track System while tracking material
for a construction project on Interstate 4 also awarded
by the Florida Department of Transportation.
Other companies who are also continually being awarded
Florida DOT contracts and using the Data Track System
are Anderson Columbia Co., Inc., Russell Engineering,
Westwind Contracting, Archer Western, M of Tallahassee,
Ranger Construction, Elmo Greer and Sons and Lane
Construction.
Frank Nicotera, President and CEO of DTSystems states
“If you see an i-button on the back of a dump
truck mirror they are most likely being tracked with
our system.” The i-button is a tiny device the
size of a dime that carries a unique 15 character
alpha numeric number relevant to the company using
it.
